Meet Kace Lagun

I’m Kace Lagun, and my appreciation for real estate started long before I ever considered becoming an agent. My great-grandfather, Walter K. Durham, was a prominent Main Line architect, and growing up I developed a deep appreciation for the way thoughtful design shapes the experience of home. A house is more than the materials it’s built from. It’s the way air moves through the rooms, how the lighting feels inside, and how the land and structure work together to create something greater than either could alone.

As a kid, I was fascinated by the real estate market in the Philadelphia suburbs. I’d spend hours tracking new listings, especially hoping another one of my great-grandfather’s homes would come up for sale. Keller Williams was one of the first websites that allowed me to search listings by keyword, making it possible to find homes connected to his work. Looking back, it’s fitting that Keller Williams is also the brokerage I ultimately chose to help buy and sell my own homes—and now the company I’m proud to represent here in Vermont.

My path to real estate wasn’t a traditional one. I’m a U.S. Army veteran and a University of Pennsylvania alumna, where I earned graduate degrees in Counseling & Mental Health Services and Professional Counseling. That background shaped the way I work today: listening closely, asking the right questions, understanding what matters to people, and approaching complex decisions with both analysis and perspective.

When my own path led me back to Vermont, I rediscovered a place tailor-made for the way I appreciate real estate: historic downtowns, working land, and buildings full of untapped potential. Today, my interest extends far beyond the transaction itself. I’m naturally drawn to understanding why properties are valuable, how communities evolve, and what sustains lasting value over time. I enjoy analyzing zoning, land use, redevelopment opportunities, infrastructure, and the details that influence a property’s potential—helping clients understand not only what a property is today, but what it could become.

As a veteran, I’ve also navigated the VA home loan process twice myself. I understand both the advantages and the challenges that can come with VA financing, and I’m passionate about helping fellow veterans in Vermont make the most of the benefits they’ve earned.
